Caitlyn Jenner ($JENNER) Celebrity Crypto Promotion and Token Collapse Case
The defendant has requested the court to dismiss the case.
C.D. California
Court2:24-cv-09768
Case number05/26/2024
Class period Start- Investors filed a lawsuit against Caitlyn Jenner for promoting the $JENNER token as an unregistered security and misleading buyers about its value and long-term plans.
- After insider selling, abandoned promises, and collapse in trading activity, $JENNER dropped over 99%.
Case Details:
In May 2024, Caitlyn Jenner launched the $JENNER token on the Solana blockchain. She promoted it as her official cryptocurrency and promised long-term involvement. Her business partner, Sophia Hutchins, confirmed Jenner’s active role in the project.
The token quickly reached a $43 million market cap, but investors later learned that Jenner had partnered with Sahil Arora, a promoter known for launching pump-and-dump coins. Arora allegedly sold large amounts early, contributing to a sharp price drop.
After denying Arora’s continued role, Jenner launched a second $JENNER token on Ethereum, which included a 3% transaction tax that directed funds to her wallet. Despite promising exchange listings and ongoing support, she abandoned the project months later, deleting the website and shutting down communications.
Based on these events, investors filed a lawsuit against Caitlyn Jenner, claiming she:
- He promoted and sold $JENNER as an unregistered security.
- He misled investors about the project’s goals, risks, and her ongoing involvement.
- He profited from the token’s launch and collapse while retail investors suffered heavy losses.
Investors believe Jenner used her celebrity status to create hype, extract quick profits.
