Apollo Global Management ($APO) Epstein Business Dealings Disclosure Case
Investors can submit applications for the lead plaintiff role.
S.D. New York
Court1:26-cv-01692
Case number05/10/2021
Class period Start02/21/2026
Class period End05/01/2026
Lead Plaintiff motion deadline- $APO investors filed a claim against Apollo Global Management for allegedly downplaying the firm’s business interactions and communications with Jeffrey Epstein while publicly stating Apollo did not do business with him.
- After reports described DOJ-released files showing Epstein received internal Apollo documents and advised on sensitive tax matters, $APO fell 5.0% on February 23, 2026.
Case Details:
Between May 10, 2021 and February 21, 2026, Apollo Global Management told investors an independent board review was consistent with prior statements that Apollo never retained Jeffrey Epstein for services and had no business dealings with him, and the company repeated those themes in SEC filings and related certifications.
However, during this period, investors allege Epstein was involved with Apollo’s senior leadership on business-related matters in the 2010s, including sensitive tax issues and strategic discussions.
Apollo Global Management allegedly failed to disclose that Marc Rowan, Leon Black, and other Apollo leaders frequently communicated with Epstein about Apollo’s business. Apollo’s public assertion that it never did business with Epstein was untrue, and these ties made reputational harm a concrete risk rather than a remote possibility.
Then, on February 1, 2026, reporting said the DOJ-released files showed that Epstein requested and received internal Apollo financial documents and interacted with senior decision-makers on sensitive matters. $APO fell $1.35 to close at $133.19 on February 2, 2026. Additional revelations followed on February 17, 2026 and February 21, 2026, including reporting that unions urged the SEC to investigate Apollo’s Epstein disclosures and criticism of Apollo’s response. By February 23, 2026, shares had dropped to $113.73, representing a 14.6% decline during the correction period.
Based on these events, $APO investors filed a claim against Apollo Global Management, alleging the company:
- It minimized Epstein’s role in Apollo-related business matters.
- It repeated in filings that an internal review supported statements that Apollo did not do business with Epstein, despite alleged contrary evidence.
- It exposed investors to reputational and regulatory fallout once reporting detailed the extent of the ties.
Investors argue Apollo Global Management misled the market about its leaders’ business interactions with Epstein, causing losses when the truth emerged.
