Via Transportation ($VIA) IPO Growth and Germany Expansion Case
Attorneys review the case details to decide whether to proceed with a class action.
S.D. New York
Court1:26-cv-04870
Case number09/15/2025
Class period Start06/09/2026
Class period End08/10/2026
Lead Plaintiff motion deadline- $VIA investors filed a claim against Via Transportation for allegedly overstating durable revenue growth while hiding declining annual run-rate revenue per customer and obstacles in Germany.
- After Via Transportation disclosed continued Germany headwinds and limits to its platform expansion strategy, $VIA fell over 17.0% on May 12, 2026.
- $VIA investors can join this case to be notified about potential recovery.
Case Details:
Between September 15, 2025 and May 12, 2026, Via Transportation told investors its platform generated measurable customer impact and supported significant, durable revenue growth. The company emphasized its land-and-expand strategy, cross-selling opportunities, and Germany’s importance as a major European revenue source.
However, during this period, investors allege Via Transportation’s growth was already slowing because new customers were not generating enough revenue and expansion in Germany was constrained. Via Transportation allegedly failed to disclose that annual run-rate revenue per customer was declining; German customers had adopted microtransit but not the full platform, and regulatory and budget limits in Germany were hindering the company’s land-and-expand strategy.
Then, on November 13, 2025, the company revealed that annual run-rate revenue per customer had declined for the first time in eight quarters. $VIA fell almost 13%, closing at $43.14.
Additional revelations followed on February 27, 2026 and May 12, 2026, including that Germany presented real headwinds and that Via Transportation had not moved beyond microtransit there.
By May 12, 2026, shares had dropped to $14.12, representing a total decline of 69.3% from the $46 IPO price.
Based on these events, $VIA investors filed a claim against Via Transportation, alleging the company:
- It hid slowing customer revenue growth.
- It overstated the strength of its land-and-expand strategy, especially in Germany.
- It caused investors to reassess Via Transportation when growth obstacles emerged.
Investors argue Via Transportation misled the market about revenue growth, customer expansion, and Germany-related risks, causing losses when the truth emerged.
