  • $MVST investors filed a claim against Microvast for overstating expected profit margins and its ability to begin production from the Huzhou Phase 3.2 expansion in 2025.
  • After Microvast reported a major inventory charge, sharply lower margins, and delayed customer vehicle rollouts, $MVST fell 34.2% on March 17, 2026.
  • $MVST investors can join this case to be notified about potential recovery.
Case Details:

Between April 1, 2025 and March 16, 2026, Microvast told investors it expected strong revenue growth, improving profitability, and approximately 30%–35% gross margins. Executives emphasized operating efficiencies, disciplined cost controls, stronger products, and plans to begin qualified production from the Huzhou Phase 3.2 expansion by late 2025.

However, during this period, investors allege inventory problems and delayed customer vehicle rollouts were threatening the company’s targets. Microvast allegedly failed to disclose that specialized energy-storage inventory might not generate revenue and could require a major write-down; customer production delays weakened revenue and margin expectations, and Huzhou Phase 3.2 production would not begin during 2025 as repeatedly projected.

Then, on June 25, 2025, a short-seller report questioned Microvast’s facility activity and commercial opportunities. $MVST closed at $3.90.

Additional revelations followed on August 1 and November 10, including a chief financial officer’s departure and delayed Huzhou production.

On March 16, 2026, Microvast disclosed a $32.5 million inventory charge, quarterly gross margin of approximately 1%, and revenue below expectations.

By March 17, shares had dropped to $1.52, representing a total decline of 61.0% over the correction period.

Based on these events, $MVST investors filed a claim against Microvast, alleging the company:
  • It overstated its expected margins and expansion progress.
  • It hid inventory problems and customer production delays.
  • It caused investor losses when weak results and delayed production were revealed.
Investors argue Microvast misled the market about its profitability and manufacturing expansion, causing losses when the truth emerged.
