  • $LNTH investors filed a claim against Lantheus Holdings for misrepresenting its sales outlook, competitive risks, and pricing strategy tied to its flagship product Pylarify.
  • After slashing revenue guidance twice and reporting consecutive quarterly sales shortfalls for Pylarify, $LNTH fell 45.5% from May 6 to August 6, 2025.
  • $LNTH investors can join this case to be notified about potential recovery.

Case Details:

Between February 26, 2025, and August 5, 2025, Lantheus repeatedly assured investors that its prostate cancer imaging agent, Pylarify, would maintain premium pricing and lead the market in 2025. Company executives stated they were confident in Pylarify’s performance despite competitive pressures, citing strategic partnerships, pricing power, and volume growth. They forecasted low- to mid-single-digit revenue growth for Pylarify, reinforcing a bullish outlook.

In reality, Lantheus was unable to accurately assess the market dynamics. The company raised Pylarify’s prices in early 2025 despite price erosion in late 2024, triggering “aggressive discounting” by competitors. Lantheus overstated its competitive moat and failed to disclose growing pricing headwinds and customer resistance.

On May 7, 2025, Lantheus cut guidance for Pylarify, citing “temporal competitive disruption” and revealing flat sales for Q1. $LNTH fell 23.2%. Still, the company claimed confidence in a rebound and downplayed longer-term risks.

But on August 6, 2025, the truth became unavoidable. Pylarify revenue fell 8.3% year-over-year, and executives admitted that renegotiated contracts, customer price sensitivity, and competition from an F-18 rival were undermining margins. Lantheus cut full-year guidance again and disclosed that net prices would decline sequentially for the rest of the year. The stock dropped another 28.8%.

Based on these events, $LNTH investors filed a claim against Lantheus, alleging the company:

  • It misled investors about Pylarify’s competitive position, pricing power, and sales outlook.
  • It concealed the true impact of price increases and competitor discounting on market share.
  • It artificially inflated its stock price by overstating growth and underreporting commercial risks.
Investors argue Lantheus misled the market about Pylarify’s growth sustainability, leaving shareholders exposed to steep losses when the truth emerged.
