  • $INTU investors filed a claim against Intuit for overstating TurboTax’s competitive strength and failing to disclose losses among price-sensitive tax filers.
  • After Intuit reported weaker tax-season results and cut its TurboTax growth outlook, $INTU fell 20.0% on May 21, 2026.
  • $INTU investors can join this case to be notified about potential recovery.
Case Details:

Between August 22, 2025 and May 20, 2026, Intuit told investors it had strong momentum across its business and expected TurboTax revenue to grow 8% in fiscal 2026. Executives emphasized the company’s artificial intelligence tools, assisted-tax growth, pricing strategy, and competitive advantages.

However, during this period, investors allege Intuit was losing tax customers, especially lower-income do-it-yourself filers facing pricing pressure. Intuit allegedly failed to disclose that TurboTax was losing business because of stronger competition and pricing pressure, and its competitive advantages and growth were less durable than represented, and its 8% TurboTax growth forecast was unrealistic.

Then, on May 20, 2026, reports revealed Intuit planned to cut about 17% of its workforce and close two offices. $INTU fell $15.78, closing at $383.93.

Additional revelations followed later that day, including 7% TurboTax growth, weaker paying-user growth, management’s admission that it lost customers on price, and reduced full-year guidance.

By May 21, 2026, shares had dropped to $307.07, representing a total decline of 23.2% over the correction period.

Based on these events, $INTU investors filed a claim against Intuit, alleging the company:
  • It overstated TurboTax’s competitive strength.
  • It hid customer losses caused by pricing and competitive pressure.
  • It caused investor losses when weak results and lower guidance were revealed.
Investors argue Intuit misled the market about TurboTax’s growth and pricing strength, causing losses when the truth emerged.
