  • $PODD investors filed a claim against Insulet for allegedly overstating the quality and safety of its Omnipod manufacturing controls while product defects created insulin under-delivery risks.
  • After Insulet disclosed a second Medical Device Correction affecting about 7 million Omnipod Pods, $PODD fell 5.07% on May 27, 2026.
  • $PODD investors can join this case to be notified about potential recovery.
Case Details:

Between February 21, 2025 and May 26, 2026, Insulet told investors it could manufacture Omnipod products at scale with quality and safety. Executives emphasized automated manufacturing, quality inspections, product safety, and strong manufacturing performance, reinforcing confidence in the company’s diabetes device business.

However, during this period, investors allege Insulet’s manufacturing controls and procedures were defective. Insulet allegedly failed to disclose that its controls created a heightened risk that Omnipod products could violate safety requirements or pose injury risks, manufacturing issues could cause insulin under-delivery, and the March 2026 correction did not fully reveal the scope of the problem.

Then, on March 12, 2026, the company revealed a Medical Device Correction for certain Omnipod 5 Pods after identifying a manufacturing issue involving small tears in internal tubing that could prevent insulin from being fully delivered.

$PODD fell 6.88%, closing at $219.84. Additional revelations followed on May 26, 2026, including another correction for Omnipod 5, Omnipod Dash, and Omnipod Eros Pods affecting about 7 million Pods.

By May 27, 2026, shares had dropped to $146.01, representing a total decline of 38.1% over the correction period.

Based on these events, $PODD investors filed a claim against Insulet, alleging the company:
  • It overstated Omnipod manufacturing quality.
  • It failed to reveal that manufacturing defects could cause insulin under-delivery and safety risks.
  • It caused investors to reassess Insulet when broader product corrections were disclosed.
Investors argue Insulet misled the market about its Omnipod manufacturing controls, product quality, and safety risks, causing losses when the truth emerged.
